If "there is evidence for the existence of God" simply means "there are philosophical arguments for the existence of God", then it is certainly true. Atheists don't deny the existence of theistic arguments but their soundness, conclusiveness, or convincingness.

Atheists repeat like a mantra that there is no evidence for Gods existence. If there were absolutely nothing existing, than you have a go. As long creation exists, it demands for a explanation, and creationism os one of the possible explanations. The fact the atheists do not agree with creationism, does not mean, there is no evidence to make such a position plausible.
